PEMBERIAN EDUKASI ASI EKSKLUSIF DAN PIJAT WOOLWICH PADA IBU NIFAS DI WILAYAH RW 13 KELURAHAN BATU IX

Pemberian ASI eksklusif menjadi tidak efektif disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya ialah perilaku pemberian ASI yang kurang tepat. Pijat woolwich merupakan upaya yang dilakukan untuk membantu ibu mencapai keberhasilan    ASI    eksklusif melalui peningkatan produksi ASI.    Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu nifas tentang ASI Eksklusif dan cara meningkatkan produksi ASI dengan pijat wolwich sehingga dapat mencapai keberhasilan ASI Eksklusif. Kegiatan dilakukan di wilayah RW 13 Kelurahan Batu IX Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Mekar Baru, Kota Tanjungpinang. Kegiatan dilakukan pada Hari Kamis-Minggu tanggal 24 - 27 Oktober 2024 bertempat di masing-masing rumah ibu nifas dengan peserta sebanyak 4 ibu nifas dengan bantuan leaflet. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang telah dilakukan adalah hasil rekapitulasi bahwa penilaian sebelum dilakukan edukasi mendapatkan rata-rata nilai 32. Penyampaian materi   meliputi      ASI eksklusif, dan pijat woolwich dengan bantuan leaflet, kemudian dilakukan demonstrasi pijat woolwich. Dari hasil posttest didapatkan bahwa rata-rata nilai 75, sehingga ada peningkatan pengetahuan ibu nifas terkait ASI eksklusif dan pijat woolwich. Selanjutnya diharapkan timbulnya kesadaran  para  peserta  dalam  bentuk  sikap  dan tingkah  laku  untuk  menjalankan manajemen  laktasi melalui teknik pijat woolwich sebagai  upaya  dalam  kelancaran  proses  menyusui secara eksklusif.

Exclusive breastfeeding becomes ineffective due to several factors, one of which is inappropriate breastfeeding behavior. Woolwich massage is an effort made to help mothers achieve exclusive breastfeeding success by increasing breast milk production. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of postpartum mothers about Exclusive Breastfeeding and how to increase breast milk production with Woolwich massage so that they can achieve Exclusive Breastfeeding success. The activity was carried out in the RW 13 area of Batu IX Village, Mekar Baru Health Center Working Area, Tanjungpinang City. The activity was carried out on Thursday-Sunday, October 24-27, 2024, at each postpartum mother's house with 4 postpartum mothers as participants with the help of leaflets. The results of the community service activities that have been carried out are the results of the recapitulation that the assessment before the education was carried out obtained an average score of 32. The delivery of the material included exclusive breastfeeding, and Woolwich massage with the help of leaflets, then a demonstration of Woolwich massage was carried out. From the posttest results, it was found that the average score was 75, so there was an increase in the knowledge of postpartum mothers regarding exclusive breastfeeding and Woolwich massage. Furthermore, it is expected that there will be awareness of the participants in the form of attitudes and behaviors to carry out lactation management through the Woolwich massage technique as an effort to facilitate the process of exclusive breastfeeding.
