SOSIALISASI PROGRAM GEMS (GIZI ENERGI MAKANAN SEHAT) UNTUK PMT BALITA DALAM PELAKSANAAN POSYANDU

Masa balita (bawah lima tahun) merupakan periode emas pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak yang sangat menentukan kualitas kesehatan dan kecerdasan di masa mendatang. Namun, dalam praktiknya, banyak balita di Indonesia yang masih mengalami masalah gizi, seperti kurang gizi, gizi buruk, dan stunting. Berdasarkan data Survei Status Gizi Indonesia (SSGI), prevalensi stunting nasional masih cukup tinggi, menunjukkan adanya tantangan besar dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi anak usia dini. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan pemerintah dalam mengatasi permasalahan gizi adalah melalui program Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT), khususnya di Posyandu Hanglekir yang mendukung dalam program Posyandu. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi dan pendidikan  kesehatan  tentang makanan tambahan untuk balita dengan program “GEMS”( Gizi Energi Makanan Sehat) dalam peningkatan kunjungan  pelaksanaan posyandu dan upaya penurunan stunting di posyandu hanglekir. Metode yng digunakan dalam pengabdian ini dimulai dari tahap persiapan, sosialisasi dan pelaksanaan dengan menggunakan power point tentang program GEMS makanan tambahan untuk balita. Hasil kegiatan pengabdiaan kepada masyarakat yang telah dilakukan di posyandu Hanglekir dihadiri sebanyak 79 orang didapatkan bahwa Dari hasil pelaksanaan sosialisasi diketahui bahwa peserta sangat antusias dan semangat dengan program yang dipaparkan karena Program PMT dalam pelaksanaan posyandu ini terbuat dari  bahan lokal yang dapat ditemukan dengan mudah. penyuluhan kesehatan sangat penting dilaksanakan secara rutin dalam pelaksanaan posyandu terhadap ibu balita dan dengan  pemberian PMT yang bervariasi membuat ibu semangat untuk rutin membawa anaknya ke posyandu untuk pemantauan pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya.

ABSTRACT

Toddlerhood (under five years) is a golden period of growth and development of children that greatly determines the quality of health and intelligence in the future. However, in practice, many toddlers in Indonesia still experience nutritional problems, such as malnutrition, severe malnutrition, and stunting. Based on data from the Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI), the prevalence of national stunting is still quite high, indicating a major challenge in meeting the nutritional needs of early childhood. One of the efforts made by the government to overcome nutritional problems is through the Supplementary Food Provision (PMT) program, especially at the Hanglekir Posyandu which supports the Posyandu program. This activity aims to provide education and health education about additional food for toddlers with the "GEMS" (Gizi Energi Makanan Sehat) program in increasing visits to the implementation of the posyandu and efforts to reduce stunting at the Hanglekir posyandu. The method used in this community service starts from the preparation stage, socialization and implementation using a power point about the GEMS program for additional food for toddlers. The results of community service activities that have been carried out at the Hanglekir integrated health post attended by 79 people showed that from the results of the implementation of the socialization it was found that the participants were very enthusiastic and excited about the program presented because the PMT Program in the implementation of this integrated health post was made from local materials that can be found easily. Health counseling is very important to be carried out routinely in the implementation of integrated health posts for mothers of toddlers and by providing varied PMT, mothers are enthusiastic about routinely bringing their children to the integrated health post to monitor their growth and development.
