PEMBERIAN EDUKASI PROSES PERSALINAN MENGGUNAKAN LEAFLET UNTUK MENGURANGI TINGKAT KECEMASAN IBU DALAM MENGAHADAPI PERSALINAN

Persalinan adalah suatu proses fisiologis yang memungkinkan serangkaian perubahan yang besar pada ibu untuk dapat melahirkan janinnya melalui jalan lahir, proses dimana seorang wanita melahirkan bayi yang diawali dengan kontraksi uterus yang teratur dan memuncak pada saat pengeluaran bayi sampai dengan pengeluaran plasenta dan selaputnya yang berlangsung selama 12 sampai 14 jam. Kecemasan pada ibu bersalin adalah perasaan khawatir atau cemas yang dialami ibu hamil menjelang proses persalinan. Perasaan ini bisa dipicu oleh berbagai faktor, seperti nyeri persalinan, pengalaman masa lalu, kurangnya pengetahuan, dukungan sosial yang kurang, dan faktor psikososial lainnya. Upaya untuk mengurangi kecemasan adalah dengan memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan kepada ibu hamil dan pasangan mengenai proses persalinan, termasuk persiapan fisik, mental, dan psikologis. Kegiatan edukasi ini bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan ibu dan pasangan dalam menghadapi persalinan dengan nyaman dan minim trauma.  Kegiatan edukasi proses persalinan untuk mengurangi cemas pada ibu bersalin dilaksanakan pada 15 orang ibu hamil. Penyampaian materi dengan menggunakan leafleat yang telah dirancang sebelumnya sebagai alat promosi kesehatan dengan judul “Proses Persalinan”. Kegiatan edukasi berjalan dengan baik dan mendapatkan respon serta antusias yang baik dari responden. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan antusias responden untuk bertanya dan membagikan informasi yang didapat melalui akun media sosialnya. Edukasi yang diberikan juga tersampaikan dengan baik yang ditunjukkan dari peningkatan pengetahuan responden terkait persalinan dengan melihat perbandingan hasil pre-test dan post-test. Untuk itu, kegiatan edukasi dengan menggunakan leafleat perlu terus dilaksanakan sebagai salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat terutama ibu hamil dan keluarga yang akan mendampingi dalam proses persalinan.

Childbirth is a physiological process that allows a series of major changes in the mother to be able to give birth to her fetus through the birth canal, the process by which a woman gives birth to a baby that begins with regular uterine contractions and culminates in the delivery of the baby until the placenta and membranes are delivered which lasts for 12 to 14 hours. Anxiety in mothers in labor is a feeling of worry or anxiety experienced by pregnant women before the labor process. This feeling can be triggered by various factors, such as labor pain, past experiences, lack of knowledge, lack of social support, and other psychosocial factors. Efforts to reduce anxiety are by providing information and knowledge to pregnant women and their partners about the labor process, including physical, mental, and psychological preparation. This educational activity aims to prepare mothers and partners to face labor comfortably and with minimal trauma. Educational activities on the labor process to reduce anxiety in mothers in labor were carried out on 15 pregnant women. The delivery of the material using leaflets that had been previously designed as a health promotion tool with the title "The Labor Process". The educational activity went well and received a good response and enthusiasm from respondents. This was shown by the enthusiasm of respondents to ask questions and share information obtained through their social media accounts. The education provided was also well conveyed as indicated by the increase in respondents' knowledge regarding childbirth by looking at the comparison of pre-test and post-test results. For this reason, educational activities using leaflets need to be continuously implemented as an effort to increase public knowledge, especially pregnant women and families who will accompany them in the childbirth process.
